The Divine Commission

I see a blinded world

a people in consistent danger

accompanied by 

disaster

trauma

Pain

mental wars

of spiritual warfare

violence & wickedness

false hope 

no prosperity to gain

I must sound the alarm

safeguarding 

their spiritual 

well-being

NOT PLEASURE

WORLDLY GAIN

OR FAME

Guarding against 

complacency

Raising the alarm 

Guiding others 

towards 

a path of righteousness 

and eternal hope

Is the aim

Ezekiel 33:11

I must remain alert 

observant over my own

spiritual and moral state

Discern signs of danger

deviating from God's path

Is a decision 

I refuse to make

Not sounding the alarm 

leads to my own demise

I will not compromise

 Ezekiel 33:6

Observe, evaluate

and warn

We are 

the mouthpiece 

of God's righteousness 

and justice

for a people scorned

I will not be held accountable 

for their blood

Warning would ensure 

my own salvation

Ezekiel 33:8-9

I will resist, the allure of compromise

I will courageously 

speak out

against injustice

immorality 

and falsehood

I will be vigilant 

in my own personal life

guarding against the encroachments 

of sin 

and apathy

while also

extending compassion 

and grace-filled warning 

to those around me

Speak out!

raise your voices

sound the alarm 

when necessary
